(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double A affiliate of the New York Yankees, are pleased to announce that former Trenton Manager DeMarlo Hale and former radio broadcaster Tom McCarthy will be inducted into the Trenton Baseball Hall of Fame this season. Hale will be inducted on Thursday, May 12, while McCarthy will be honored on Thursday, July 14.
Both will be pre-game ceremonies at Waterfront Park .
DeMarlo Hale managed the Trenton Thunder from 1997 to 1999. His 1999 squad had the best record in all of Minor League Baseball at 92-50 and Hale was selected as the Minor League Manager of the Year by Baseball America, The Sporting News and USA Today Baseball Weekly. His combined Thunder record was 234-192 (.549).

After the 1999 season, he left the Thunder to pursue a full-time career in broadcasting, creating the first local-driven show on ESPN Radio 1680 AM.
McCarthy is in his second year as the television play-by-play man for the Philadelphia Phillies. He spent five seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies (2001-2005) as a radio play-by-play voice and as their pre-game and post-game radio host before spending two seasons as a play-by-play announcer for the New York Mets on WFAN.
Hale and McCarthy will become the fifteenth and sixteenth members of Trenton Baseball Hall of Fame joining George Case, Harold "Bus" Saidt, James Maloney, Al Downing, Steve Braun, Bob Ryan, Tony Clark, Nomar Garciaparra, Samuel Plumeri Sr., Michael DeCello, Mo Cunningham, David Eckstein, Ken Macha and Sonny Pittaro
