Altoona Curve News Release
CURVE, Pa. - On Wednesday, May 4th for their 6:30 p.m. game against the Akron Aeros, Curve fans can get LOST in Curve, Pa as the team will debut their "What We're Watching Wednesday" series of promotions with "LOST - Locke & Locke." The night will lampoon the popular television show LOST with the team trying to unravel the mysteries of the island as well as parody the similarities of pitcher Jeff Locke to one of the show's main characters John Locke.
For this night only, the Aeros will be known as "The Others" which is one of the many things die-hard fans of the show LOST will recognize. There will be key scenes from the show shown on the video board at the stadium, fans sitting in seats that correspond to the numbers on "the hatch" will be eligible to win special prizes during the game, the Curve players will each have special LOST themed intros as well as many more surprises and skits to pay homage to the popular television show.
"I'm lost when it comes to LOST," said Curve General Manager Rob Egan. "But, when they told me we could all wear jumpsuits instead of our regular game apparel as part of the theme, how could I say 'no'' While I'm sure the theme will be 'lost' on many of our fans and staff members, we know it won't be on Jeff Locke, who was apparently a big fan of the show."
Great seats are still available for Curve fans to get LOST in Curve, PA on Wednesday, May 4th. The game will also be a Ponderosa Four-Pack Wednesday where fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular sodas all for $30 thanks to Ponderosa Steakhouses. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 877-99-CURVE, log on to altoonacurve.com or visit the Blair County Ballpark ticket office.
