Akron starting pitcher T.J. House shut down the Thunder with nine strikeouts and just two hits in 6.0 IP, and at one point retired 13 consecutive batters for his first win of the season.

The Thunder recorded six hits, with Kyle Roller (2-for-4) and Ramon Flores (2-for-4) leading the way offensively for Trenton. The lone run of the game came in the 7th inning when Rob Segedin singled off the glove of Akron first baseman Jesus Aguilar into right field to score J.R. Murphy from second base.
