----- Tonight, the SeaWolves continue a six-game road trip as they take on the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) in the middle game of three-game series at Prince George's Stadium. Yesterday, the SeaWolves could not come up with the big hit with runners in scoring position as they dropped the series opener to the Baysox 5-4. Bowie's game winning run came in to score on a bases loaded walk in the sixth...Righty Patrick Cooper takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his first road start. Cooper's last start came in a rain-suspended game on April 10 against Binghamton. He allowed a run on six hits with two walks and five strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work. The game will be completed on August 9. Cooper made four appearances, three starts, against Bowie in 2012. He went 0-3 with an 8.31 ERA...RHP Kevin Gausman takes the mound for the Baysox making his third start and first against Erie. Gausman beat Akron in his last start on April 11. In the game, he allowed a run on two hits with no walks and five strikeouts in six innings of work. Gausman has not walked a hitter in his first 10.0 innings pitched. Gausman was the Orioles top pick in the 2012 draft out of LSU.

----- - Bowie leads the season series over Erie 1-0. The Baysox won the 2012 season series over Erie 14-7. The SeaWolves and Baysox meet 21 times in 2013. - The SeaWolves are just 13-for-46 with RISP on the road trip. - Hernan Perez has hit safely in nine of the first 10 games and he leads the team with 14 hits. - Erie will play nine of their first 23 games during the day. - The SeaWolves are 3-4 in night games. - The SeaWolves are 2-0 when not committing an error and 2-6 in games where they commit at least one error. - Erie has struggled to throw out opposing base stealers. James McCann and Ramon Cabrera are combined for a league-worst 1-for-15 throwing out potential base stealers. - The SeaWolves are third in the league with a 3.96 team ERA. The 'Wolves are one of three teams with sub-4.00 ERA's in the EL. - Two of the four Erie home runs this season have been grand slams. - The SeaWolves 38 earned runs allowed are the fewest in the league. - The 'Wolves are fourth in the EL with a .264 team batting average, however, they rank last with only 42 runs scored. - Bowie has committed a league-high 23 errors.
