Portland, ME - The Sea Dogs survived two late-inning deficits and held on in extras 7-6 on Sunday afternoon. Two Trenton errors and a Jose Iglesias base hit to left field in the 11th inning capped an 18 hit performance for Portland. Trenton (76-51) finishes the season series with a 9-8 record against the Sea Dogs..

Matt Cusick homered in the ninth inning for Trenton to tie the game at five and Rene Rivera doubled in a run in the tenth for a 6-5 lead.Wilkins Arias could not maintain the lead as Nate Spears homered in the 10thand CF Matt Sheely scored the wining run in the 11th after reaching on a bunt base hit .

Portland pushed across two runs in the eighth off J.B. Cox for a 5-4 lead. Cusick countered with his third homerun of the season in the ninth to send the game into extra innings.

The Thunder scored one run in the fourth inning and three runs in the seventh with consecutive hits from Damon Sublett, Rene Rivera and Matt Cusick for a 4-2 lead.

Dan Brewer hit his tenth homerun of the season in the fourth for an early 1-0 lead. The solo blast makes Brewer the 13thplayer in Thunder history, and the first since 2005, to have at least 20 stolen bases and ten homeruns in a year.

RHP Alex Wilson stuck out a career-high eight in five innings in the no decision for the Sea Dogs. Thunder RHP Andrew Brackman also went five innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits. Brackman struck out two and walked one before being removed for Wilkin de la Rosa. Trenton used five pitchers in the loss including 1 1/3 scoreless from Ryan Pope.

Matt Cusick came a double shy of the cycle with a 3-5 performance.

Trenton returns home on Monday to begin a three-game series with New Hampshire. Trenton has yet to announce the starting pitcher for Monday and New Hampshire will throw RHP Zach Stewart. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the box office t 609-394-3300 or online at www.trentonthunder.com.
