Aerodynamics.
. Tough start. The Aeros lost 5-1 in the first game of an important three-game series with Harrisburg Friday. The Senators scored first in the fourth inning when on a Jesus Valdez RBI-single. They added two more runs in the fifth on first baseman Miguel Perez's throwing error to the plate. Akron answered when left fielder Tim Fedroff ended a potential no-hit bid with a solo home run to center field in the fifth to make it 3-1. The Sens added runs in the sixth and ninth for the 5-1 final. Harrisburg's Ryan Tatusko earned his first win of the season and Cole Kimball earned his sixth save. Aeros' starter Alex White took the loss.
. Aeros Alumni. Cleveland Indian southpaw pitcher Aaron Laffey is still scheduled to make a rehab appearance today in the second game.
