(Trenton, NJ)- Michael Bourn and Ryan Barthelemy had three hits apiece as part of a 13-hit attack to lead Reading to a 7-4 win over the Thunder on Tuesday afternoon.
After each team scored an unearned run in the 1st Inning, Reading (57-60) took a 3-1 lead in the 2nd Inning off Thunder starter Steven White. Jesus Merchan delivered an RBI double along with an RBI single by Michael Bourn. Reading scored four more runs in the 6th Inning off White and reliever Ben Julianel. White (0-5) allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings. He walked two and struck out three.
Trenton (58-58) started their rally with four hits and a run off Reading starter Carlos Chantres in the 8th Inning. Gabe Lopez produced the run-scoring single in the inning. Chantres started the ninth, but allowed three straight hits and was lifted for closer Ryan Cameron, who forced in a pair of runs on back-to-back walks. But Cameron got the next three hitters to end the game and earn his 12th save.

Reading and Trenton wrap up their series on Wednesday night at 7:05 PM. Cavin Maduro (0-0, 1.80) will make his second start for the Thunder against the Phillies' Mike Smith (3-11, 4.41).
