August 9, 2005 - Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators announced today that Senators Radio Announcer Terry Byrom has accepted an offer to continue with the team. Byrom will move into a full-time position with the Senators beginning this fall.
"We were really happy with the work Terry has done on the broadcasts," said Senators General Manager Todd Vander Woude. "The Senators will continue with the same radio arrangement next year and Terry will be given a lot more responsibilities."
Byrom will handle all media relations for the team as well as putting together the broadcast for next season. He will also become a member of the team's off-season sales team.
It was also announced by the team that long-time groundskeeper Ryan Schmidt has left the team for a new position. Schmidt will be working in a similar capacity for Lebanon Valley College, a job much closer to his home.
The day after Schmidt finished with the Senators on the field, Ryan and his wife, Jen, had their first child. They had a baby boy, Cayden Michael Schmidt on Saturday, August 6th.
