Wichita Thunder News Release
Wichita, KS - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, are excited to partner with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals for a fundraising event on Friday, March 8th.
Thunder employees will be at the Wichita Boathouse from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. selling tickets to the game on Friday, March 30th when the Thunder hosts the Tulsa Oilers.
March 30th is also Ron Baker Bobblehead Night, honoring the former Wichita State Shocker and former Scott City native. The first 1,000 fans in the door will get a special Ron Baker Bobblehead.
"We are excited to partner with the Wichita Thunder for this event which honors our spokesperson Ron Baker," commented Kara Warkentine Director of Development, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. "Both are significant forces in our community who care about serving local kids. The Wichita Thunder and Ron Baker are making a tremendous difference for those we treat for illness and injury each and every day. These funds will help expand the reach of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals at Via Christi Health to provide more innovative care technologies to our hospitals and relieve the financial burden from families when their insurance falls short."
For every ticket sold, a portion of the proceeds will go back to Children's Miracle Network. Tickets in the Fan Zone, which are normally $12, will be just $5 with a minimum of 20 tickets purchased to get this price.
The Thunder begins an eight-game road trip on Saturday night at Tulsa starting at 7:05 p.m.
Individual tickets for all games are on sale now. Season tickets are still available for purchase. Get your seats for just $15 per month. All it takes is a $50 deposit per seat to reserve yours today. To learn more, click here or contact a Thunder representative at the office today!
