
Thunder And Binghamton Postponed On Friday

Trenton Thunder News Release
(Binghamton, NY)- The game between the Trenton Thunder and the Binghamton Mets scheduled for Friday night has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, April 5th beginning at 1:05 PM. In the season opener on Thursday night, Binghamton LHP Jonathon Niese gave up just one hit in 5 IP to lead the Mets to a 2-0 win over the Thunder. Binghamton 1B Mike Carp also hit a solo home run in the win. Thunder LHP Chase Wright only gave up three hits and two runs in 6 IP in the loss. RHP David Robertson followed Wright and tossed two scoreless innings of relief for the Thunder (0-1).
Thunder RHP Dan McCutchen (0-0) will make his season debut for the Thunder in the first game of the DH on Saturday against Binghamton RHP Bobby Parnell (0-0). In the second game, RHP George Kontos (0-0) will make his Thunder debut against Binghamton RHP Jose Sanchez.
