Akron RubberDucks News Release
HARRISBURG, PA via AKRON, OH - Tonight's game between the Akron Aeros and Harrisburg Senators has been postponed because of wet grounds. This latest setback comes less than 24 hours after the season opener between the clubs was suspended going into the top of the 10th inning Thursday evening, also because of wet grounds.
The teams will try to finally finish Thursday's contest at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, with that night's regularly scheduled, nine-inning game beginning 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game (but not before 6:05 p.m.). Akron and Harrisburg will conclude the series as scheduled with an afternoon tilt at 1:05 p.m. Sunday. Tonight's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday, May 27th at 5:05 p.m. at Harrisburg.
Aeros lefty David Huff is scheduled to start game two Saturday, while the Senators will counter with Shairon Martis. The game can be heard live on WHLO-AM 640 and online at www.akronaeros.com. For more information, please call the Aeros at (330) 253-5151.
