WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder today, acquired forward Cedrick Bernier from the Arizona Sundogs.

A 6-2, 210-pound native of Beauport City, Quebec, Bernier (pronounced BURN-ee-ay) played just three games with the Sundogs this season due to injury. He split last season, his first as a pro, with Arizona and the SPHL's Florida Seals, notching a goal, an assist and 79 penalty minutes in 23 games.

Prior to turning pro, Bernier, a triplet whose brother Jonathan plays for the Sundogs, spent two seasons in the QSCHL, notching three goals, eight points and 246 penalty minutes in 51 games. He will make his debut on Sunday when the Thunder faces the Blazers at 6:05 p.m. in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder, 6-6-0 under new head coach Rob Weingartner, returns to action tonight at the Rocky Mountain Rage, for the second game of a season-long, six-game road trip. Game time is set for 8:05 p.m. Central.
