Throwbacks, Fireworks Await Spikes Fans Over Five-Game Stretch

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - The State College Spikes will present five straight nights of Central PA's Best Family Value with a variety of fun promotions starting this Thursday, July 21st and running through Monday, July 25th. The Spikes host the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland Indians) for the first two games, and the Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets) follow the Scrappers into town for a three-game series.

Highlights of the five-game homestand include Thursday's Replica First Base Giveaway presented by WJAC to the first 1,000 fans of all ages on the Tribute to Managerial Implosions night, 1971-Style Spikes Jersey-Off-the-Back Auction presented by Stocker Chevrolet Subaru along with FIREWORKS on Friday the 22nd, and the Youth Baseball Clinic presented by Penn State Hershey Bone and Joint Institute on the morning of Saturday the 23rd, with the '70s-Style Spikes Cap Giveaway that night.

Plus, Northwest Savings Bank presents an explosive FIREWORKS show after the game on Sunday the 24th as former Penn State football great Michael Robinson makes an appearance at the ballpark, and fans can celebrate the holidays in the summertime with Christmas in July on Monday the 25th. In addition, the Spikes' slate of Daily Value Promotions will be in full effect, including Kids Eat Free Thursday presented by Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, 4 for $44 Friday presented by MAJIC 99, Scratch n' Win Saturday presented by Auntie Anne's, and Dollar Dog Monday presented by 95.3 FM 3WZ.
