Three Stampede Players Make 2009 All-Star Team

BOISE, Idaho, February 3, 2009 - Idaho Stampede players Brent Petway, Luke Jackson, and Lance Allred have been selected to play in the 2009 NBA Development League All-Star Game Saturday, Feb. 14 in Phoenix. The game will be held on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas with tipoff at 2 p.m. local time.

All three Stampede players will be members of the Red Team, which will be coached by Iowa Energy Head Coach Nick Nurse and consist of 10 prospects.

In 43 games with the Stampede, Petway averages 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game. In 44 games, Jackson averages 16.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. And, Stampede Center Lance Allred averages 14.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

The NBA D-League will also host the second annual Dream Factory Friday Night, a skills competition similar to NBA All-Star Saturday Night, which will include a three-point shootout, a slam dunk contest, and a game of H.O.R.S.E. Dream Factory events will take place on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas beginning at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13. During the 2008 NBA Development League All-Star events, Petway was crowned the Dunk Champion and Allred was named the H.O.R.S.E. winner in the skills competition.
