SK BASEBALL PURCHASES NBA D-LEAGUE'S RENO BIGHORNS
SK Baseball, owners of Triple-A Baseball's Reno Aces, have purchased the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League. As a further commitment to the success of professional sports in the Reno-Sparks area, SK Baseball now will control the two primary professional franchises in the area.
LOS ANGELES' JOE CRAWFORD NAMED NBA D-LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Joe Crawford of the Los Angeles D-Fenders has been named NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Jan. 27, 2009. Crawford is the first Los Angeles player to earn the honor this season. Crawford averaged 26.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in three games for the D-Fenders. He led Los Angeles to a 2-1 record, including two wins over the first-place Idaho Stampede.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
21 players with D-League experience competed in seven NBA games last night, two as starters.
Matt Barnes and Louis Amundson scored eight points apiece for the Phoenix Suns.
CJ Watson finished with 11 points for the Golden State Warriors.
