Three Silvertips Prospects to Participate in 2023 Canada Games

EVERETT, Wash. - Three Everett Silvertips prospects have been selected to represent their native province at the 2023 Canada Games from February 18th to March 5, 2023, in Prince Edward Island. Julien Maze and Lukas Kaplan have been named to Hockey Alberta's U16 Male roster, while Kaeson Fisher will represent Hockey Manitoba.

Maze, an '07-born forward from Edmonton, AB, was selected 20th-overall in the 2022 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft. He became the youngest Everett Silvertip to make their debut with the club this season, skating in four games and registering a primary assist. He has also played in 16 contests with OHA Edmonton Prep U18, logging nine goals with 12 assists. He will wear number 19 with Hockey Alberta.

Kaplan, an '07-born Spruce Grove, AB native, signed his Standard Player Agreement with the Silvertips as a forward on Nov. 26 this year. He was selected in the sixth round, 130th overall in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft and has appeared in 20 games this season with Northern Alberta Xtreme's U17 and U18 squads. He has combined for 16 goals and 21 assists at the two levels. He will wear number 22 with Hockey Alberta.

Fisher, an '07-born Brandon, MB native, was selected 124th overall in the sixth round of the 2022 WHL Draft. The young defenseman signed his Standard Player Agreement Nov. 8, and has recorded one goal and 13 assists in 24 games on the blueline for Brandon Wheat Kings U18 AAA.
