Three Points: El Capitán, Bragging Rights on the Line to Night in Dallas

Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo wrap up a two-game road trip tonight in Frisco against their in-state rivals FC Dallas. Tonight's match marks the third and final edition of the 2018 Texas Derby, the annual rivalry series between the two clubs, and the series is dead-even through two matches after the clubs played to a pair of 1-1 draws in Houston earlier this summer.
Along with in-state bragging rights, possession of El Capitán, the Texas Revolutionary War-era mountain howitzer cannon that goes to the series winner each year, is on the line. Houston won the season series in 2016 and retained the cannon last year after all three matches with FC Dallas ended in ties.
GAME INFORMATION:
MATCHUP: Houston Dynamo (7-12-7; 28 pts.) at FC Dallas (13-6-7; 46 pts.)
TIME: 7:00 p.m. CDT
TV: KUBE Ch. 57(Local Channel Guide)
RADIO: CBS Sports Radio 650 AM (English); Univision Radio 1010 AM (Spanish)
HERE ARE THREE KEY POINTS YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW AS YOU PREPARE FOR TONIGHT'S GAME:
1. TIME TO MAKE A MOVE - In addition to earning bragging rights against Dallas, Houston is also looking to make a late push to get into the playoffs for a second consecutive season. Going into tonight, Houston is 10 points out of the final playoff spot with eight games remaining. Three points tonight would go a long way toward getting things headed in the right direction.
2. DALLAS SERIES HISTORY - This is the 33rd meeting between Houston and FC Dallas since 2006, and the Dynamo come into the match holding a slight edge in the all-time series, with 10 victories to Dallas' nine, along with 13 draws. Houston has won the season series six times in the first 12 years to Dallas' four series wins. Twice the series ended in a draw as the clubs tied all of their meetings in a year. Tonight gives Houston a chance to win the series for a seventh time in 13 years.
3. GET THE ATTACK GOING - The Dynamo will look to snap a nine-game winless skid when they hit the field Saturday night in Frisco. The quickest way to get back in the "W" column would be to put the ball in the back of the net - several times. Over the last nine games, the Dynamo have only scored five goals and have been shut out four times. Prior to the start of this skid, they had only been held scoreless twice in 17 games. In those 17 games, Houston scored two or more goals 12 times; in the last nine, they have yet to find the net twice in a game.
