Youngstown Phantoms News Release

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- NHL Central Scouting has released its preliminary list of players to watch for the 2016 NHL Draft, and three current Phantoms have made the list. Forwards Kevin Conley and Cameron Morrison, and defenseman Luke McInnis are all ranked by Central Scouting, as is Phantoms' Affiliate forward Ty Amonte.

"These young men have worked hard to make this list, but they still need to produce and show NHL scouts they belong at higher levels throughout the season. It is great to receive this recognition early in the year, and hopefully they will use the exposure as a confidence boost and continue to improve," said Phantoms General Manager Jason Koehler.

The USHL had 54 total players named to the NHL Central Scouting watch list, tied for the most of any junior league in the world.

"It really shows this organization has been doing the right things to make sure players are getting to the next level, and helping them go above and beyond expectations," said Phantoms defenseman Luke McInnis.

Phantoms' Affiliate Ty Amonte will play this season at Thayer Academy in Massachusetts, and could see time in Phantoms' uniform this year.
