Three Lancers Named to NHL CSS Preliminary List

Omaha Lancers Forward John Wojciechowski, Defenseman Grant Gabriele and Forward William Fallstrom

Ralston, NE - NHL Central Scouting released their Preliminary 2015 September "Players to Watch" list this morning. Forward's John Wojciechowski, and William Fallstrom, along with defenseman Grant Gabriele were named. In addition, 51 other players on USHL 23-man rosters found a spot on the list.
The annual list identifies players using the following criteria:
- A Rating - Indicates a 1st round candidate
- B Rating - Indicates a 2nd/3rd round candidate
- C Rating - Indicates a 4th/5th/6th round candidate
- LV (Limited Viewing) - Injured players who have not had sufficient viewings to be categorized
Grant Gabriele, a Brighton, MI native was drafted in 2013 by the Omaha Lancers and played last season with Team USA-U17's and U18's. William Fallstrom and John Wojciechowski were drafted by the Lancers in 2014.
"It's an honor to be recognized by the National Hockey League," said Omaha Lancers Head Coach and General Manager Brian Kaufman. "All three players have tremendous talent and are deserving of this honor."
The USHL had 54 players currently on 23-man rosters, in addition to 10 USHL alumni, six of which are playing college hockey. 50 of the 54 players have NCAA Division I college commitments. The 54 players tied the Ontario Hockey League for most players listed by any junior league in the world.
In June, the USHL had a record-breaking 2015 NHL Draft in which no junior league in the world had more NHL Draft picks than the 37 USHL players selected, in addition to 10 USHL alumni.
The Omaha Lancers remain on the road as well beginning this Friday night in Lincoln to face the Stars. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. and fans can listen live beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Valpak Pregame Show on "The Mighty" 1290 KOIL, Mighty 1290 KOIL Mobile APP, www.mighty1290koil.com, and FASTHockey.com.
