
Four Muskegon Lumberjacks named to NHL Central Scouting Service List

MUSKEGON, Michigan (September 29th) - Four Muskegon Lumberjacks were named to the Preliminary 2015 September Players to Watch List by the NHL Central Scouting Service.
All four players from the Lumberjacks placed on the watch list are defensemen, showing the young, talented depth that Muskegon possesses in the defensive zone.
Zachary Berzolla, Mitch Eliot, Alex Green and Bo Hanson all received "C" ratings by the NHL CSS. A "C" rating in- dicates a 4th/5th/6th round candidate for the NHL Draft.
Berzolla, a 6-foot-2 and 185 pound defenseman from Howell, NJ, joined the Lumberjacks during the 2014-2015 sea- son and played in two games where he accrued one assist. Berzolla is ready to spend a full season with the Lumber- jacks in 2015. He previously played for the U18 AAA NJ Titans. He is committed to play college hockey at Colorado College.
Eliot, a 6-foot and 190 pound defenseman from Grosse Pointe, MI, played in 58 games for the Lumberjacks in 2014- 2015. Eliot assisted on four goals while posting a +/- of 1. Eliot notched an assist in Muskegon's first game of the sea- son, a win over Waterloo. Eliot is committed to Michigan State University.
Green is a 6-foot-1 and 175 pound defenseman from Chicago, IL. Green previously played for the Chicago Mission U16 team before joining the Lumberjacks for three games in the 2014-2015 season. Green has committed to Cornell University.
Hanson, 6-foot-2 and 190 pound defenseman from Boise, ID, enters his second season with the Lumberjacks. In the 2014-2015, Hanson played in 51 games where he had one goal and four assists. Hanson previously played for the Colorado Rampage U16 team where he scored eight goals and had 18 assists during the 2013-2014 season. Hanson has not committed to an NCAA team yet.
Green and Eliot were among the 42 top American-born prospects selected for the CCM All-American Prospects Game. They played forTeam Roenick and defeated Team Plante 6-4. Eliot had one assist.
