
Mitch Perrault Commits to Harvard

Ralston, NE - The Omaha Lancers, members of the United States Hockey League are proud to announce that forward Mitch Perrault has committed to Harvard University following his junior career.
"I feel honored to have the chance to play college hockey at Harvard University," said Perrault. They are one of the most prestigious schools in the world both on and off the ice."
Prior to being drafted by the Omaha Lancers in the sixth-round, 93rd overall this past May, the native of Findlay, Ohio played two seasons for the Ohio Blue Jackets U18 squad where he 21 goals and 40 assists for 61 points in 59 games played. During the 2014-2015 playoffs, Perrault scored eight points in just four games.
"We couldn't be happier for Mitch," said Omaha Lancers Head Coach & General Manager Brian Kaufman. "Harvard University will be a great fit for Mitch and we're very excited for what the future holds for him this season and beyond."
With the commitment, Perrault will join Lancers' forward Nathan Krusko, who committed to Harvard University prior to the start of this season and becomes the 15th player on the Lancers' current roster with plans to play NCAA Division I college hockey.
Even after the commitment, Perrault feels the need to improve. "I would like to work on my defensive play," he added. "Just becoming bigger and stronger as an athlete."
The Omaha Lancers play this weekend on the road beginning Friday night in Lincoln to face the Stars. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. and fans can listen live beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the Valpak Pregame Show on "The Mighty" 1290 KOIL, Mighty 1290 KOIL Mobile APP, www.mighty1290koil.com, and FASTHockey.com.
