
Three Oil Kings Prospects Named to Rosters for 2019 WHL Cup

The Western Hockey League, in partnership with BC Hockey, Hockey Alberta, Saskatchewan Hockey Association, Hockey Manitoba and Hockey Canada, announced today the rosters for the 2019 WHL Cup, which will begin Wednesday, October 23, at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary, Alta.
The Oil Kings will be represented on three of the four tournament rosters - Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatoon.
Defence prospect Ross Stanley, selected in the 2nd round, 40th overall by the Oil Kings in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, will skate as a member of Team Alberta, while goaltender Kolby Hay - the Oil Kings 3rd round, 62nd pick in 2019 - will dress for Team BC.
Team Saskatchewan will feature Oil Kings 7th round, 150th overall selection from 2019, Kylynn Olafson, to round out the Edmonton contingent.
The WHL Cup features the highest-rated players in the under-16 age category from the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The tournament will take place from Wednesday, October 23 through Sunday, October 27.
