Third Quarter Sinks Skyforce in 133-116 Loss to Osceola

Orlando, FL - The Sioux Falls Skyforce were defeated 133-116 by the Osceola Magic on Friday afternoon from the Orange County Convention Center in the team's final 2023 NBA G League Showcase Cup Game.
Justin Champagnie led Sioux Falls (8-8) with 22 points on 9-14 FGA and five rebounds, while Alondes Williams added 22 points on 8-15 FGA and four assists.
Sioux Falls got out to a 30-23 lead after the first quarter, but Osceola (10-6) responded to tie the contest at 56-apiece at halftime.
The Magic outscored the Skyforce 43-24 in the third frame, which ultimately derailed any fourth quarter comeback.
HEAT two-way player Cole Swider added 22 points and a season-high nine rebounds, while fellow two-way player RJ Hampton added 17 points, eight assists and five steals. HEAT assignee Nikola Jovic contributed 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Orlando two-way player Trevelin Queen led all scorers with 33 points on 12-19 FGA, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Magic assignee Jett Howard added 28 points on 9-16 FGA.
The Skyforce's record will now reset and will start the regular season on Dec. 28-29 in a back-to-back against the Santa Cruz Warriors. Both tip offs are slated for 9:00 PM CST.
