ORLANDO, FL - The Cleveland Charge (6-10) split their pair of games at the 2023 NBA G League Winter Showcase after a 121-103 defeat to the Oklahoma City Blue (10-6) on Friday afternoon at the Orange County Convention Center. The records of all teams will now reset to begin the 34-game regular season.
Pete Nance posted his second-straight double-double with 15 points, 12 boards, six assists and two blocks in 31 minutes. Zhaire Smith scored 17 points to lead Cleveland's seven players in double figures. Justin Powell hit 5-of-8 threes for 15 points. Sharife Cooper added 11 points, five rebounds and five assists in 24 minutes. Olin Carter III scored 13 points and nabbed three steals in 24 minutes off the bench.
OKC was paced by Jahmi'us Ramsey's game-high 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting with 11 rebounds and two steals in 26 minutes. Jaden Shackleford scored 22 points for the Blue, while Miller Kopp rounded out the trip of 20+ point scorers with 21 points, and six rebounds in 33 minutes.
Cleveland will begin the 2023-24 regular season with a pair of home games against the Long Island Nets beginning Friday, December 29 at 5:00 p.m. It's Margaritaville Night presented by Nuevo, with the first 1,000 fans receiving a Charge bucket hat.
