Ontario Closes Out Winter Showcase With A 128-103 Victory Over Capital City

ORLANDO FL - The Ontario Clippers (10-6) defeated the Capital City Go-Go (8-9) 128-103 in their final game of the 2023 NBA G League Winter Showcase Thursday night at Orange County Convention Center.

The Clippers started off strong with a Jordan Miller drilling a three-pointer to kick off the game. Brodric Thomas led the Clippers in the first half with 13 points on five-of-eight shooting from the field. Jordan Miller trailed behind with 12 points, three rebounds and two assist, while Dewayne Dedmon shot a perfect three-of-three from the three-point line to close the half with 11 points.

The Clippers continued to dominate in the second half, Xavier Moon recorded 12 points in seven minutes to increase the lead to 14 going into the fourth. The Clippers continued their momentum in the fourth with Joey Hauser hitting two three-pointers to end with nine points in the quarter.

Nine Clippers total scored in double-figures. Xavier Moon neared a triple-double, ending with 20 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds, Jordan Miller added 20 points and eight rebounds as well. Brodric Thomas was right behind with 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds. The Clippers closeout their Winter Showcase with a 10-6 record.

For Capitol City Go-Go Davion Mintz lead all scorers with 20 points, while Hamidou Diallo also had an impressive stat line with 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Go-Go forward Michael Foster Jr. 14 points on five-of-seven shooting from the field.

The Clippers open their regular season on Thursday, December 28 at Salt Lake City Stars. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00PM PT on ESPN+.
