Stars Split Showcase Set

ORLANDO, Fla., - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, fell to the Greensboro Swarm (Charlotte Hornets affiliate) 106-102, in their final Winter showcase match-up, spitting the Showcase set 1-1.

All Stars starters scored in double-figures. The team was led by Utah Jazz assignment player Brice Sensabaugh, who netted 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and served three assists. Jazz two-way player Josh Christopher, contributed 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Meanwhile, fellow two-way player Micah Potter, notched his second-consecutive double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Romeo Langford added 11 points and five rebounds for the Stars.

The Swarm were paced by Jeremiah Tilmon with 22 points (10-of-15 from the field) and nine rebounds. Hornets two-way player Amari Bailey contributed 17 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Jordan Murphy came off the Greensboro bench to add 14 points and five rebounds.

Greensboro jumped out at the start of the game, claiming a six-point lead to end the first quarter 31-25. Salt Lake City kept it within single digits, trailing by just two points as they headed into the break 53-51. The close contest battled on as the teams fought to the finish. Salt Lake City made their final comeback of the game with the help of an And-one from Josh Christopher, and an alley-oop dunk from Sensabaugh to Taevion Kinsey. The final minutes were filled with the teams trading baskets before the Greensboro Swarm shot ahead, earning the final Winter Showcase win, 106-102.

The Stars break before kicking-off the 2023-24 NBA G League Regular Season with a home game against the Ontario Clippers on Thursday, Dec. 28. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. MT at Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz, and will be broadcast LIVE on NBAGLeague.com.
