The Wolves Are Pinking of You

October 23, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves are going pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The team will take to the ice with special pink sticks during warm-ups before their game against the Providence Bruins at the Allstate Arena on Wed., Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.

Select pink sticks will then be autographed and made available at a silent auction at the Customer Service Booth in the East Lobby throughout Wednesday's contest. For extra chances to win other team-signed memorabilia, fans can purchase raffle tickets at the booth. Proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Network of Strength and various Chicagoland charities.

"We have expanded our efforts this year" said Wolves Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "Breast Cancer continues to affect the lives of our fans and their families on a daily basis. This is our chance to come together as a team and community to raise funds for such an important cause"

Fans will also have a chance to purchase pink "Stick it to Breast Cancer" t-shirts for a $20 dollar donation beginning on Sun., Oct. 26 when the Wolves take on the Rockford IceHogs. The t-shirts will also be available for purchase before and during the Wed., Oct. 29 game, at 7 p.m. or by calling 1-800-THE-WOLVES.

On Oct. 30 fans can log on to chicagwolves.com for one more chance to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by bidding on four pink sticks autographed by center Grant Stevenson, right wing Joey Crabb, left wing Colin Stuart and defenseman Arturs Kulda.
