Admirals Recall Werner, Release Van Guilder

Milwaukee, WI-The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that the team has recalled right wing Stephen Werner from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. In addition, the team announced that it has released forward Mark Van Guilder from his professional try-out contract (PTO).

Werner has registered four points (1g-3a) in two games so far this season with the Cyclones. In 2007-08 the Chevy Chase, MD native split time with the Springfield Falcons and Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League and the South Carolina Sting Rays in the ECHL. In 30 games with the Falcons, Werner posted nine goals and four assists, while in Hershey he notched a goal and four assists in eight contests.

Van Guilder skated in five games for the Admirals this season and did not record a point.

The Admirals are back in action Friday and Saturday night when they host the Peoria Rivermen at 7:00 pm tomorrow and the Chicago Wolves at 7:30 pm on Saturday.
