Theo Peckham Recalled By Edmonton Oilers

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that defenseman Theo Peckham has been recalled by their National Hockey League affiliate, the Edmonton Oilers. Peckham is expected to join the Oilers in Colorado for their game Thursday against the Avalanche.

Peckham is in his second professional season and has played in five games for the Falcons this year collecting two goals and one assist and 18 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 223-pound native of Richmond Hill, Ontario saw time in both Springfield and Edmonton last season.

Peckham played in 59 games with the Falcons last year recording six goals and seven assists for 13 points and 174 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut as a member of the Oilers on March 7, 2008 at Columbus and was named the recipient of Springfield's Best Defensive Player Award in 2007-08.

The Falcons are back at home this weekend when they host the Albany River Rats on Friday, October 24 and Lowell Devils on Saturday, October 25 at the MassMutual Center. Tickets are available at the MassMutual Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.com.
