PITCHING MATCHUP
Enyel De Los Santos will face Jalen Beeks as he seeks a fourth victory this season. Today's starting pitching matchup is presented by Allentown Family Foot Care, which provides the latest in medical and surgical treatments of the entire foot and ankle. Learn more at affc.com.
De Los Santos ranks second in the IL with a 1.07 ERA. Currently 3-0, he has struck out 33 in 25.1 innings. Beeks has struck out 46 hitters in 26 1/3 innings this season. He the No. 11 prospect in the Red Sox system according to Baseball America.
LAST GAME
Brandon Leibrandt (2-0) continued his dazzling start to 2018, throwing five scoreless frames Tuesday while allowing only four hits, to guide Lehigh Valley to a 4-1 victory over the Pawtucket Red Sox at Coca Cola Park. The IronPigs own a 71-80 (.470) record all-time vs. the Red Sox including 9-9 last year.
The PawSox and IronPigs will meet again in Pawtucket on May 25. The Pigs and Red Sox will play a four game weekend series.
TODAY AT COCA-COLA PARK
It's the final Education Day of 2018 at Coca-Cola. A number of local schools will be in attendance for the morning tilt.
The current seven-game homestand, which runs through the weekend, will continue Thursday with an extended pre-game happy hour (5-7 p.m.) and Irish Heritage Night on Thursday. Preview
