Ottawa Lynx News Release
OTTAWA - With Game 1 of the Stanley cup Finals going tonight in Anaheim, the whole city is gripped in Sens fever. Now the Ottawa Lynx have a fun way for hockey and baseball fans to enjoy both their favourite sports. The Ottawa Lynx are running two exciting contests to give away tickets to Game 3 and Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
First up is the Stanley Cup Scavenger Hunt. Lynx fans will scour the Capital Wednesday May 30th to Friday, June 1st for 16 items-one for every win to capture the Stanley Cup. Everyone who brings all 16 items back to Lynx Stadium during the Lynx June 1st game vs. Richmond (game time is 6:05 pm) will be entered into a draw to win two tickets to Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals, where the Ottawa Senators will take on the Anaheim Ducks. This will the first Stanley Cup game in Ottawa since 1927 and you can be there, courtesy of the Ottawa Lynx!
The Lynx musical chairs tradition will be taken to a whole new level when we play Champion-chairs after the Lynx game Monday June 4th. You can win a spot in the 50-person musical chairs extravaganza at Lynx home games June 1st to 4th. Contestants will be whittled down from 50 to one through a series of random number draws until one lucky fan is left sitting. Our champion will win dinner for two from P.J. Quigley's before taking in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. You could witness history if the Cup is won here in Ottawa June 4th.
"A championship run like this one is a rare, special event in a city," said Lynx General Manager Kyle Bostwick. "We're really excited to be able to offer our fans the chance to experience the Stanley Cup Finals firsthand."
A complete list of Stanley Cup Scavenger Hunt locations will be published in tomorrow's Ottawa Citizen. Check out all contest details on www.ottawalynx.com.
