TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Indianapolis Indians in the first game of a four-game series from Victory Field (6:00 p.m.). Buffalo is coming off back-to-back wins that helped them earn a split with the Bats in Louisville. LHP Aaron Laffey gets the start for Buffalo today. Laffey will be looking to bounce back from a rough outing against Indy on May 22 in Buffalo (2.2IP, 12H, 10ER). The Indians will counter with RHP John Van Benschoten.

OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION: Eight different Bisons had multi-hit performances last night as the team pounded out a season-high 19 hits. Shin-Soo Choo went 2-6 for his fourth consecutive multi-hit game. Ben Francisco also went 2-6 and now leads the Herd with 17 multi-hit games and 54 hits. Two of Brad Snyder's three hits were home runs as he became the second player this year with a multi-homer game (Keith Ginter, 5/1 at Syracuse).

CLOUD NINE: With back-to-back nine-run outbursts, the Bisons have reclaimed the scoring lead in the International League (246 runs). The Herd is also second in the IL in average (.277) and hits (430) and fourth in home runs (43) and stolen bases (47).

CHART TOPPERS: The Bisons have three of the top eight hitters in the International League. Outfielder Ben Francisco leads the Herd with a .344 average that is also good for third highest in the IL. One spot behind him is Franklin Gutierrez with a .342 mark. Ryan Mulhern has posted a .329 average and is in eighth place in the league.

THE FRANCHISE: Outfielder Ben Francisco has the Bisons longest active hit streak at nine games. Since May 18, Francisco has hit at a .421 (16-38) clip with four doubles, four RBI and five runs scored. His 54 hits are eighth in the International League while his .406 on-base percentage is seventh in the league.

ALWAYS ON: Infielder Luis Rivas has reached base safely in each of his last 14 games. Since May 11, he has averaged .283 (15-53) and has drawn 13 walks. During the 14-game stretch, Rivas has posted a .424 on-base percentage.

ROSTER MOVE: The Indians have recalled LHP Rafael Perez and optioned infielder Andy Marte to Buffalo. Perez was 3-3 with a 3.66ERA in eight games and seven starts for the Herd. Marte returns to Buffalo after hitting .242 (8-33) with two home runs and three RBI during a 10-game rehab stint, 4/29-5/19. He hit .180 (9-50) with a homer and eight RBI with the Indians.
