The Impact and Umberto Cesari Launch 25th Anniversary Wines

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact and Umberto Cesari took advantage of the club's 25th anniversary to launch a special batch of wines. Three new wines will be available in limited edition during the Montreal Impact's entire 2018 season.

Partners with the Impact since 2016, Umberto Cesari developed these wines to the tastes of Montrealers and Impact supporters.

"I am happy with this initiative, which shows the whole implication of a partner like Umberto Cesari," said Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo, also owner of FC Bologna, Umberto Cesari's hometown club. "It's special and unique to have wines created specifically for our anniversary. We can't wait to get these wines on the shelves and I think that Impact supporters and wine connoisseurs alike will appreciate them."

"The Umberto Cesari and Montreal Impact partnership was born in our shared passion for soccer," declared Univins and Spiritspresident, Daniel Richard. "The Umberto Cesari House hopes, through this alliance, to continue to grow its notoriety by offering wines of superior quality."

The wines will be offered in limited quantity at the SAQ as of the month of May. A white wine will be offered for $16.95, a red wine for $16.95, and a top of the line red wine will have a $29.95 price tag.

Trebbiano - Romagna DOC 2016

White wine produced in Italy - Bottled by Cesari s.r.l. Castel San Pietro Terme, Italy

Dry and harmonious wine with fresh scents and notes of citrus. Ideal with light hors-d'oeuvres, white meats and fresh cheeses.

Sangiovese - Romagna DOC 2015

Red wine produced in Italy - Bottled by Cesari s.r.l. Castel San Pietro Terme, Italy

This dry and slightly tannic wine distinguishes itself by its fruity and floral bouquet. Ideal with typical Emilia-Romagna pasta based hors-d'oeuvres and curated meats.

Sangiovese Merlot - Rubicone IGT 2014

Red wine produced in Italy - Bottled by Cesari s.r.l. Castel San Pietro Terme, Italy

Fruity notes of Sangiovese and the herbaceous taste of Merlot create an elegant and wonderfully tannic wine. Ideal with fresh pasta, surf and turf meals and roasted meats.
