March 1, 2018 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Seattle Sounders FC News Release
Following a 2-1 first-leg loss in El Salvador, Sounders FC returns home to host the second leg its 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League matchup with Santa Tecla FC on Thursday, March 1 on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field (7:00 p.m. PT / UDN, Go90, SoundersFC.com, El Rey 1360 AM). Thursday's match is being aired nationally on Univision Deportes Network, in addition to an English-language live-stream on the Go90 app. SoundersFC.com is airing an audio stream of tonight's match, with Matt Johnson and Kasey Keller on the call. Fans in Western Washington can tune-in to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez, Felipe Maqueda and Carlos Tapia.
This marks Seattle's fifth outing in the SCCL, most recently advancing to the Quarterfinals of the 2015-2016 tournament before falling to Mexican giant Club America. Should the Rave Green advance past Santa Tecla in this year's tournament - the first that MLS clubs advanced straight to the knockout stage - the club would face Chivas Guadalajara in the Quarterfinals, after the storied Mexican club defeated Dominican side Cibao.
