Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will host their fifth annual Book Drive to benefit Book Worm Angels, at their home games on Saturday, March 20, and Sunday, March 21. This year's drive is presented by Applebee's.

Book Worm Angels is Chicago's only literacy program providing in-classroom lending libraries to public elementary schools where the majority of the students read below grade level. Book Worm Angels reaches nearly 200 schools and 100,000 students while distributing more than 1.6 million books.

"Literacy advocacy is a huge part of the Wolves community endeavors," said Wolves Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "There really is no better way to support literacy among our youth than to host a children's book drive. Book Worm Angels is a great organization dedicated to this cause, and we are honored to support them."

For each new or gently used children's book that is donated, fans will receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win a $100 gift certificate to Applebees.
