Rookie forward Duncan McGuire became just the fifth college draft pick in MLS history to score double-digit goals in the same season that he was drafted, joining former Lion Cyle Larin, current FC Cincinnati Head Coach Pat Noonan, Seattle Sounders winger Jordan Morris and former Jamaican international Damani Ralph.
Orlando City goalkeeper Pedro Gallese kept his 10th regular-season clean sheet in the Lions' 1-0 win over Nashville SC, setting a new Club record.
The match serves as the Lions' last home match of the 2023 MLS regular season.
Quote of the Week:
"Good. The preparation after Nashville [SC] started right after the game just trying to recover the players and trying to refresh them after this busy week. Most important is that we can get to the game with energy and healthy. After that the tactics as always, especially in this semester that has been very busy, on trying to be efficient and communicating to the players the gameplan and make sure that they understand which is something easier for me because they absorb the information very easily, We're good. Our motivation is high being in front of our fans in the last game of the [regular] season and the ambition to just keep ascending and be solid in our objectives in the playoffs."
- Head Coach Oscar Pareja
