ORLANDO, Fla. - The New England Revolution (14-7-10, 52 pts; . - 5th in East) will visit Orlando City SC (16-7-9; 57 pts. - 2nd in East.) on Saturday night at Exploria Stadium. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and is free to watch on Apple TV in English and Spanish. Saturday's contest also airs locally on the radio on 98.5 The Sports Hub, with Brad Feldman and Charlie Davies on the call, and 1260 AM Nossa Radio USA in Portuguese.

New England enters Matchday 37 locked in a tight battle for a top-four finish in the Eastern Conference, where only a five-point gap second-place Orlando from New England in fifth. The Revolution have three regular season games remaining, one more than the rest of the top-six teams in the conference, in the hunt to secure homefield advantage in the first round of the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs. With a win on Saturday, New England can keep second place in its sights and rise as high as third in the table. A challenging schedule to close out the league campaign means the Revolution still control their own fate when it comes to playoff seeding, as all three of New England's remaining opponents are fellow playoff-bound teams vying for the top-four seeds: Orlando this Saturday, Nashville away on Oct. 14, and Philadelphia at home on Oct. 21.

The Revolution carry a nine-game unbeaten streak against the Lions into this weekend's match, posting a 5-0-4 record over Orlando dating back to 2018. New England leads the all-time series, 7-2-7. The two sides met earlier this season, with the Revolution registering a 3-1 victory on June 17 at Gillette Stadium. Emmanuel Boateng and Gustavo Bou netted first-half tallies to give the Revolution an early lead in that match, before Carles Gil sealed the victory in the closing minutes. Gil, the club's nominee for the 2023 Landon Donovan MLS MVP Award, owns three goals scored and six assists over seven career games played against Orlando. New England defeated Orlando in their building in the 2022 regular season, a year after eliminating the Lions at Exploria Stadium in the 2020 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Gil distributed his 14th assist of the 2023 campaign, tied for second most in MLS, in the midweek match against Columbus. The two-time MLS Best XI midfielder is in top form entering the postseason, having found the scoresheet in four of the last five matches with two goals and two assists. Gil's 23 goal contributions (9G, 14A), tied for seventh most in MLS, are one short of his career high of 24, set in 2019. Gil's younger brother, Nacho Gil, aims to return to the squad after missing one game with a right leg ailment. Meanwhile, forward Gustavo Bou has now played in two consecutive games on the bench and defender Henry Kessler has also been training in full in their returns from injury, providing valuable reinforcements to Interim Head Coach Clint Peay's squad ahead of the postseason.

Argentinian midfielder Tomás Chancalay continues to make waves in his debut MLS season, adding a fourth goal across his first eight appearances with the club. Chancalay, who has scored in two of the last three games, sparked the offense with eight shots against the Crew. The 24-year-old forward on loan from Racing Club appeared on MLS Team of the Matchday bench for his performance. Defender DeJuan Jones, who will join the United States Men's National Team for a pair of international friendlies after Saturday's match, provided his sixth assist on Chancalay's tally, one shy of his career high and top five among MLS defenders this season.

Behind the backline, anchored last week by MLS veterans Dave Romney and Andrew Farrell, goalkeeper Earl Edwards Jr. is poised to make his 20th MLS career start and 10th of the season. Fellow goalkeeper Tomáš Vaclík looks to make his first appearance on the matchday roster since arriving in New England in September.
