Etihad Player of the Month: Santiago Rodríguez Secures September Award

New York City Football Club is pleased to confirm that forward Santiago Rodríguez has been awarded Etihad's Player of the Month for August.

The Uruguayan played four times in MLS for NYCFC in September and helped the team secure eight points with his performances for the team.

A creative force in the final third, Rodríguez recorded an assist at the start of the month during the team's 1-1 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps. He also rounded out the month with an assist for Andres Perea's header during the 3-0 win against Toronto FC.

An industrious and talented playmaker, Rodríguez has taken on greater responsibility this season and helped push the group toward their goal of reaching the playoffs.

A worthy winner, the Club would like to congratulate Santi on this achievement.
