Bakersfield Jam News Release

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Jam (20-23) took down the Texas Legends (20-23) 107-105 after Terrico White made a go-ahead lay-up to win the game Thursday night at the Dignity Health Event Center. White finished with 30 points (12/20 FGs; 5/8 3FGs), seven rebounds and seven assists.

The opening period was a see-saw battle as there were a total of seven ties and five lead changes. Bakersfield held the edge 28-24 after one quarter of play, thanks in part to Xavier Silas' 14-point quarter performance. The Legends' Chris Douglas-Roberts put 14 points of his own in the quarter as well. The second period remained close and the Jam went into the break ahead 52-46.

Bakersfield outscored Texas 31-25 in the third quarter and took an 83-71 lead going into the final frame. The Jam led for the majority of the fourth period, but the Legends fought back from a 14-point deficit and tied the ball game at 105 with 06.7 seconds left. On the ensuing possession out of the timeout, White drove to the rim and converted the game-winning lay-up with 00.1 left on the clock.

Silas had 31 points (11/18 FGs; 7/11 3FGs) and Cory Jefferson recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Legends were paced by Tu Holloway's 31 points (8/12 3FGs) and five assists. Chris Douglas-Roberts had 21 points and Jamil Wilson tallied 19 points. Michael Eric notched in a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
