BayHawks Set Franchise Record for Offensive Rebounds in Loss to Knicks

Erie, Pennsylvania, March 18 - The BayHawks fell to the Westchester Knicks this evening, 95-113.

The BayHawks shot only 29% in the first quarter compared to the Knicks' 42%. Jordan Crawford got off to a hot start for Westchester, scoring a quick seven points on the way to a 24-17 lead for the Knicks.

Erie improved in the second quarter behind ten Aaron Harrison points, including a buzzer beating long range three and closed the gap to 46-57 at half. Jimmer Fredette added 14 points in the quarter and 18 overall in the half for Westchester.

Westchester led by as many as 22 points in the third while shooting 61% compared to Erie's 27%. Fredette continued to hit his shots with 12 points in the second half. Clarkson added 13 of his own in the half. Keith Appling put out a strong offensive effort in the second half, notching 24 points in the half alone.

Westchester was paced by 26 points from Fredette and Crawford apiece. Ra'Shad James added 25 points on 10 of 15 shooting. The Knicks shot 56% on the game.

In the loss, Erie broke its previous franchise record for offensive rebounds by grabbing 29. The previous record was 22. The BayHawks were led by 32 points from Appling. Aaron Harrison, on assignment from the Charlotte Hornets added 20 points, three assists, and two rebounds off the bench. Alex Davis posted a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
