Terdoslavich Takes Home Player of the Month Honor

Lynchburg, VA- Hillcats infielder Joey Terdoslavich was voted Carolina League Topps Player of the Month for May by the Carolina League managers.

Terdoslavich hit .304 (31-for-102) with four home runs, 11 doubles and 20 RBI in 27 games in May. He led the team in doubles and RBI, tied for the team lead in home runs and was third on the team in runs scored (19). He hit safely in 21 out of 27 games in the month, and had an extra-base hit in 13 of those games.

On May 30, at Salem, Terdoslavich went 3-for-5 with three RBI, and hit a career-high three doubles. His two-run home run in the sixth inning on May 15 at Myrtle Beach broke a 3-3 tie and helped lead the Hillcats to the only series win by a visiting team in Myrtle Beach this season.

Overall this season, Terdoslavich is hitting .280 with 11 home runs, 31 RBI and 31 runs scored. His 11 home runs is second-most in the Carolina League.

Terdoslavich was selected by the Braves in the sixth round of the 2010 draft. In 2010 he split time between Rookie-level Danville and Low-A Rome. He combined to hit .302 with 19 doubles, two home runs and 34 RBI in 70 games played. This is the first award he has won in professional baseball.
