Kinston Indians News Release
Kinston continues the roadtrip with a four game series in Wilmington, Delaware. The K-Tribe starts the day 4 1/2 games behind Myrtle Beach for first place in the Carolina League Southern Division with 15 games to play in the first half.
Second Place Showdown - Kinston and Wilmington are two second place teams, both 4 1/2 games out, going in opposite directions. Kinston's hot play has cooled of somewhat after a weekend series loss to Winston-Salem, but the Indians hove posted a 14-5 record over their last 19 games. Kinston has not lost back-to-back games since May 15th and 16th. Wilmington has gone just 1-9 in their last ten games, falling out of first place in the Northern Division. Kinston took 3-of-4 from Wilmington last week in Kinston.
