The St. John's Maple Leafs announced today that goaltender Mikael Tellqvist has been recalled by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tellqvist will join Toronto in Washington to face the Capitals this evening at the MCI Center. In his last five games, Tellqvist has a 2-2-1 record and a 2.95 AVG. Tellqvist stopped 189 of 204 shots he faced in that span for a ..926 save percentage. Mikael Tellqvist was Toronto's 3rd choice, 70th overall in the 2000 Entry Draft.

Goaltender Jamie Hodson has been recalled to St. John's and will join the team in Providence. Hodson, Toronto's 3rd choice, 69th overall in 1998, has appeared in two games for St. John's this season. St. John's will kick-off a six-game road trip tonight when the Maple Leafs face the Providence Bruins. Game time is 8:05PM (NT) on Radio NF (930AM) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca.
