Game Notes: The Rochester Americans host the Hershey Bears tonight at The Blue Cross Arena at 7:35 p.m.... The game is the third of four meetings between the two teams... The Amerks are 1-1-0-0 against the Bears this season... Tonight's game will be broadcast on WHTK 1280-AM and on the web at www.amerks.com... The contest will also be televised live on Time Warner Cable Ch. 98.

All-time series: Rochester has an all-time record of 174-194-52 against Hershey... The teams have split the last two games this season, with Rochester winning the last contest 2-0 on December 21st... The Bears won the first game 4-1 on October 19th at the GIANT Center.

Amerk Notes: Rochester (14-16-9-3, 40 points) enters tonight's contest against Hershey in second place in the Central Division... The Amerks are coming off a 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phantoms on Wednesday night... The loss extended the Amerks' winless streak to seven games (0-4-2-1)... Goaltender Ryan Miller and forwards Denis Hamel and Jaroslav Kristek remain on recall with the Buffalo Sabres... Winger Jason Botterill leads the team and the AHL with 23 goals... Sean McMorrow is second in the league with 193 penalty minutes.

An All-Star on and off the ice: Prior to tonight's game, Amerks winger and AHL leading goal scorer Jason Botterill will receive his 2003 AHL All-Star Game jersey from the American Hockey League, as he represents the Amerks at the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic on February 2-3 in Portland, Maine... He will also be honored as the winner of the Mary Cariola Children's Center VIP Player of the Month for January for his commitment to local charities.

Amerks to serve plates instead of pucks for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: The Rochester Americans will be serving plates instead of pucks at the annual 2003 Amerks Celebrity Waiter Dinner & Sports Memorabilia Auction, to be held on Tuesday, February 25th at 5:30 p.m. at The Four Points Sheraton in downtown Rochester... Amerk players will serve guests their food and drinks for tips, with all proceeds benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester... Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Rochester will fund on-going, groundbreaking medical research aimed at curing and controlling cystic fibrosis... For dinner, auction and ticket information, contact the Rochester chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at (585) 697-0777... Tables are available for sponsorship level donations, including bonuses such as choice of your Amerks player waiter.

Bears Notes: Hershey (21-13-7-1, 50 points) is currently in second place in the South Division, five points behind the Norfolk Admirals... The Bears have lost their last two games and are 5-4-1-0 in their last 10... Goaltender Phil Sauve is third in the AHL with a 2.15 goals-against average... The Bears have the second best penalty-killing unit in the league (88.99%)... Right wing Brian Willsie leads the Bears with 34 points (19+15) in 38 games... Willsie is currently on a three-game goal-scoring streak.
