The Edmonton Oilers, a parent club of the Hamilton Bulldogs, have recalled left-winger Jani Rita from the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL).
Rita, a native of Helsinki, Finland has played in 45 games with the Bulldogs this season, scoring 18 goals and adding 19 assists for 37 points. The call up marks the second time Rita has been assigned to the Oilers. The 6'1, 206 pound, forward appeared in one game last season against St. Louis, and was held scoreless.
The Hamilton Bulldogs have recalled centre Mike Bishai from the Columbus Cottonmouths of the East Coast Hockey League. Bishai, a 23-year-old native of Edmonton, Alberta, has played in 24 games for Columbus this season and has earned 12g-17a-29pts. Bishai, who signed as a free agent by Edmonton on May 28, 2002, played three games for the Bulldogs last season, while going scoreless.
