BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-2 win in a shootout over the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Sunday.

Pensacola jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Adam Berti fired a sharp angle shot into the top corner of the net past Sea Wolves goalie Ryan Munce at 6:44 of the second period. Berti would help dig the Sea Wolves hole deeper when he sprung Bryan Esner on a shorthanded breakaway that Esner tucked through Munce's legs for a goal at 19:07. On the same power play, Chris Cava picked up his sixth goal of the season, beating Pensacola netminder Cam Ellsworth with a blast from the point at 19:50 of the second period.

Jason Tejchma potted the shootout winner in the fifth round when his wrist shot beat Ellsworth from the low slot.

Ryan Munce made 27 saves on 29 shots and stopped four-of-five shooters in the shootout to earn the win. The Sea Wolves were 1-for-6 on the power play.
