Beloit Sky Carp News Release

Notes: Michael Tarsi shined Tuesday night at Pohlman Field, as he blanked the Clinton offense for seven innings in a 2-1 victory.

Making his second start of the season the left hander went seven shut-out innings only giving up two hits in his well earned victory Tuesday night. Tarsi also sat down 18 straight hitters to end his start.

The Snappers got on the board in the third inning as second baseman Drew Thompson doubled home Juan Richardson who had led off the frame with a single.

In the sixth the Snappers extended their lead when James Beresford and Dominic De La Osa both put down bunt singles. A throwing error by Clinton starter Bobby LaFromboise moved up both runners. Ramon Santana drove home Beresford with a sac fly to center to give the Snappers a 2-0 lead.

The 2-0 lead was all that the Snappers pitching staff needed as All-Star Joe Testa came in to close the door giving the Snapper the 2-1 victory.

Wednesday night the Snappers aim for a series split with Clinton as Daniel Berlind will take the mound for the Snappers.
