
Szabolcs Schön Called into National Team Duty for World Cup Qualifiers

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas winger Szabolcs Schön has been called up to represent the Hungary National Team in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers during the October international FIFA window.
Schön will depart following the FC Dallas home match against Minnesota United FC on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Schön, 21, has six assists in 17 appearances for FC Dallas since joining the team this April 2021. He made his MLS debut in the 1-1 draw against Texas Derby rival Houston Dynamo FC on May 8, playing the final 24 minutes of the match.
Schön earns his third call up to the Hungary National Team. He made his senior team debut in an international friendly against Ireland on June 8. He also subbed in the UEFA Euro 2020 group stage matches against Portugal on June 15 and Germany on June 23. Schön started in the World Cup qualifying match against Andorra on Sept. 8 and recorded his first assist in the 18th minute of the 2-1 win. He has four appearances overall for the Magyars.
