CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC will complete the Club's three-game homestand on Wednesday, Sept. 29 against New York City FC, before heading north of the border to face Toronto FC on Sunday, Oct. 3.
The Fire will face NYCFC (11-9-6, 39 points) at SeatGeek Stadium at 7:00 p.m. CT due to a conflict at Soldier Field with the Chicago Bears' schedule (WGN-TV, CFFC Live and TUDN 1200AM). In 229 games played at SeatGeek Stadium, the Fire hold a 101-54-74 record in regular season play. The Club's last league match at the venue occurred nearly two years ago on Sept. 29, 2019. Tickets for the upcoming game are currently available for purchase here .
Wednesday's match marks the second meeting between Chicago (6-15-6, 24 points) and New York this season, with the two teams previously battling to a 0-0 draw on Aug. 4 at Soldier Field. Overall, the Fire have posted a 2-2-3 home record against NYCFC since 2015. NYCFC is coming off back-to-back derby games against the New York Red Bulls, resulting in a 1-1 draw and a 1-0 loss.
On Sunday, Oct. 3 at 3:00 p.m. CT (WGN-TV, CFFC Live and WOJO 105.1 FM), the Fire will head to Toronto (4-15-7, 19 points) for the final match between the two teams this season. Despite matching a Club record for shots in a single game (31), the last encounter between the Fire and Toronto resulted in a 2-1 loss for Chicago on July 24 at Soldier Field. Toronto traveled to Colorado on Saturday to face the Rapids and played to a 0-0 stalemate. Prior to facing Chicago, Toronto will host FC Cincinnati on Sept. 29 at BMO Field.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23, the Fire announced Knox Fortune, DJ King Marie and DJ Step will join headliner SABA to round out the full lineup for "Ten/Eight: A Night at the Metro with Chicago Fire FC in partnership with Heineken ." Taking place on the 150th anniversary of The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 - and coinciding with the anniversary of the Club's founding in 1997 - the Oct. 8 concert will take place at legendary Chicago music venue Metro in Wrigleyville. Tickets for the event are now available via RSVP and can be secured at metrochicago.com. The concert is 18+ and will be free to the public with a suggested $20 donation to the Chicago Fire Foundation at the door.
