Syracuse Crunch Recalls Riley Cote, Assigns Janne Jokila to Dayton

The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have recalled left wing Riley Cote from Dayton (ECHL). The team also announced that they have returned left wing Janne Jokila to Dayton.

Cote, 21, has appeared in one game with Syracuse this season, without recording a point. In five games with Dayton, Cote has recorded one goal, one assist and 31 penalty minutes. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Cote signed an American Hockey League contract with Syracuse this off-season.

Jokila, 21, appeared in three games with Dayton this season, recording 3 assists and 12 penalty minutes. He has appeared in six games with Syracuse this season, without recording a point. A native of Turku, Finland, Jokila was Columbus' seventh pick, 200th overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft.

Syracuse travels to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton tonight for a 7:05 p.m. face-off. Crunch action can be heard on SportsRadio 620 with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott.
